Google Takeout is the built-in service that lets you export your organizations’ Google Workspace (G Suite) Gmail data offline. The focus of this blog post is business Google Workspace email backup, however three of the backup options described here (native recovery, Takeout and some of the G Suite backup solutions) can also be used for personal Gmail account backup. Google Workspace (G Suite) backup tools provide fully-automated backup & restore capabilities for Gmail, in addition to Drive, Contacts and other G Suite services.10 solutions enabling data retention for litigation & compliance needs (mostly for large enterprise organizations). Its retention features can be used for Gmail backup. Google Vault is the archiving service included in Business & Enterprise Google Workspace pricing plans.It can be used as a manual way to perform backups of G Suite users email data. Google Takeout is the data export tool available in Google Workspace.Native (built-in) Google Workspace recovery is the toolset enabling G Suite administrators to recover user emails deleted within 25-30 days.We review the following five Google Workspace (G Suite) email data backup options in this blog post: Third-party solutions provide automated Google Workspace (G Suite) email backup, but should be selected carefully as the backup service completeness & quality differ among vendors.Google Vault and 3rd party Gmail archiving tools help retain all email messages, but provide no automated recovery mechanism.The option is free, but has limitations & requires manual administration. Built-in Google Workspace recovery combined with Takeout service can be used to backup G Suite users' email data.Your storage allocation will change after the 30 days, or you can remove all files from the bin beforehand. The photos will be automatically removed in 30 days. They all turn blue down to that point and it will show the number selected in the top left PgDn 20-30 times then find another image, hold shift and click the check mark.Ctrl+minus to zoom out on your browser until it's at 50%.Go to Photos on the web on a computer ( ).Remember you must do this step otherwise we will have to remove your entire account, mail, drive and photos. The University has no ability to delete your photos for you. Google doesn't provide a tool or easy way to delete your old photos - you just need to select them in batches (we have found up to 1000 works best) and delete. Step 2: Remove photos from your University Google Drive Note that the Google Photo app on a mobile device shows a combination of local photos and those on Google Drive. Enter your personal Google account details and sign in to that account.Select Backup Account or Backing up to another account.Tap on your profile icon at the top right corner. You will need to do this for each device you have configured before moving to Step 2. It is critical that you also change your Google account on Google Photos on any computer or mobile device to use your personal account rather than your University account. Step 1: Change your Google Photos account Once you have checked and are happy that you have all the photos you need please remove the originals from both your local computer, mobile device and University Google Drive.
